
He’s been a martial arts trainer to the stars, including Madonna, and worked as a corner-man and an official in the early days of the The Ultimate Fighting Championship. Taimak has studied Chinese Goju under martial arts legend and fight choreographer Ron Van Clief, and has also worked with Goju-Ryu, Jeet Kune Do, Tae Kwon Do, Wing Chun, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and Hapkido. In the years that followed Taimak appeared in Janet Jackson’s “Let’s Wait Awhile” music video, on TV shows like A DIFFERENT WORLD and BEVERLY HILLS 90210, and movies like NO MORE DIRTY DEALS and THEY’RE JUST MY FRIENDS. He hit the scene in 1985 starring as Leroy Green (aka “Bruce Leroy”) in the fan-favorite film, which just celebrates its 37th Anniversary this year.
